Who is Eligible
- All must be voluntary organisations or groups
- They must work with young people aged 5 -25
- Organisations must be located in city or county
- They must support NYON’s charitable purposes and aims and values.
NYON aims to be an inclusive organisation, serving organisations and groups which work with young people between the ages of 5 and 25 in the City of Nottingham and the County of Nottinghamshire. The more diverse NYON’s membership, the more influential and effective NYON can be on behalf of its members. NYON is committed both to supporting small organisations and to developing best practice within the sector: the NYON Executive has committed to involving members in the development of minimum standards as a condition of NYON membership.
NYON aims to involve all organisations who are currently under-represented in its network, in particular BME youth organisations, organisations working with disabled young people and organisations working with marginalised young people. In order to remain relevant, NYON also seeks to ensure full geographical coverage and to involve organisations that pioneer new approaches to youth work.
