Funding

NYON can offer support on applying for grants and which grants may be right for you. We can also discuss how funding can change your organisation and what you have to think about before applying for grants.

NYON also has Funderfinder, which can help you look funding. If you're interested in using the software, please call NYON on 0115 926 6750 to set up a meeting. For more information on Funderfinder visit their website.

According to their website:

Funderfinder keeps track of about 4,500 charitable trusts and foundations that fund voluntary and community groups in the UK. Most of the information about these funders comes from websites, funders' published guidelines and directories mainly published in the UK. FunderFinder staff classify the funders according to their interests, policies and practices.

Funderfinder prompts grant-seekers to describe themselves and the work they want funding for. This information is matched against the funders' criteria. Funderfinder retrieves funders that match the search profile entered by the grant-seeker. It ranks the funders found in 'best match order' and allows the user to consider 'partial matches'.

A search produces a list of funders which can be saved, exported and printed out. GIN gives details of where to find further information about each funder found, and provides links to appropriate websites, including GuideStar, the Charity Commission and the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator.
